Dear Pastor,

As a Minister of the Gospel and a leader in the church, I have learned from experience the value of prayer. In every situation, whether good or bad, we need to pray before we act. Often people act first, then pray. Prayer should be our first response, not a last resort.

Understanding the importance of prayer is not enough. Prayer needs to become a priority, a lifestyle. For prayer to become a lifestyle, we must first develop a habit and discover a pattern of prayer. This guide is a resource to assist you in that process.

Prayer needs to become something we look forward to doing. Many people do not enjoy prayer because they have never been taught how to pray. That’s where this simple prayer journal can help. Using several prayer models out of the Bible and having some guides to make prayer more personal, this booklet is designed to bring enjoyment in your time of prayer. When you discover the blessing and benefit of daily conversation with God, it will simply cause you to want to pray first.
