EDUCATION
B.A., Lee University Cleveland, TN A third-generation Church of God minister. The son of a Church of God pioneer preacher and denominational leader, Reverend Paul H. Walker. Donald M. (Don) married Jacquelyn (Jackie) Touchstone of Atlanta, Georgia, in June 1958. They have two daughters; Denise of Atlanta, Georgia; Donna of Cleveland, Tennessee and two grandsons, Jordan, and Preston Scoggins (a senior at Lee University). |
| LEADERSHIP
For 54 years Walker has distinguished himself as a very successful and prominent church leader. He has demonstrated exemplary leadership in varied areas of ministry in the Church of God beginning as an Evangelist, Pastor for 6 years, State Director of Youth & Christian Education for 18 years, Assistant Director of General Education for 2 years, President of Northwest Bible College for 4 years, President of the Church of God Theological Seminary for 4 years and is now in his 24th year as a State Overseer… serving uniquely for an unusual second term appointment as the Administrative Bishop for the State Executive Offices of the Church of God for the State of Tennessee. MEMBERSHIPSWalker has served the denomination in strategic committee appointments which include the Ministerial Reinstatement Committee, the Loan and Review Committee, the Budget and Review Committee, served as an official Parliamentarian for the Church of God, served on numerous other committee assignments as… member of the General Education Board, Chairman of the World Mission Board, Chairman of the Chaplains Commission, member of the Lee University Board of Directors , Chairman of the Lee University Building Committee, a member of the International Building Committee, and is currently actively involved in many of the committees and boards previously listed. Author of numerous articles and published works. An internationally popular minister, speaker and educator, frequently speaks for denominational and faith-based meetings, retreats and camp meetings throughout the United States and other countries. |
